Depending on your type of oil-fired boiler or cooker, your boiler or cooker should be serviced either every 6 months or every 12 months.
Oil Services South West Ltd. will advise you appropriately according to your particular appliance. We will contact you on a 6-monthly or 12-monthly basis (depending on your machine) in order to arrange a mutually convenient time for a servicing appointment. We will always give you a courtesy call a few weeks before any service is due.
No Formal Servicing Contracts
We like to try and keep things simple and do not have formal servicing contracts with our customers. Why pay for annual contract charges, when we deal with your regular servicing requirements and your breakdown needs should they occur? Plus, with our comprehensive boiler spares carried on our vans, we can usually fix your problem there and then.

Every 6 months: Agas & Vapourising Rayburns
Your Aga or Vapoursing Rayburn should be serviced every 6 months because as the burner operates, the slow flow of oil into the burner carbonises and reduces the flow. This eventually, if not serviced, will cause the Aga/Vapourising Rayburn to lose heat and possibly go out. It has also been known that excessive carbon build-up has caused extreme damage to the burner which then requires costly replacement.
During the servicing of your appliance, our engineers will fill out this form which covers all elements of the servicing process and what has been observed and/or actioned. Our engineers will explain what is on the form and any comments/actions and leave a signed copy of this with you and take one for the company’s records.
